About Us

I have been established as a professional numismatist with my own company since 1997.  I specialize in ancient and medieval coins and antiquities and provide sales, purchases, appraisals, and authentication to my customers. I represent clients at major auctions throughout the United States and Europe and also hold dealer tables at number of  U.S. coin shows annually. I am proud to be known as someone who conducts numismatic business in an ethical and honorable manner, and I have always guaranteed the authenticity of all the numismatic material which I have sold or ever will sell.

I am currently a member in good standing in the following numismatic organizations: International Association of Professional Numismatists (IAPN), Lifetime Member American Numismatic Society (ANS), Lifetime Member American Numismatic Association (ANA), Lifetime Member Ancient Coin Collectors Guild (ACCG), Royal Numismatic Society (RNS), San Francisco Ancient Numismatic Society (SFANS), and Ancient Coins for Education (ACE). In addition to being a member of ACE, I am also an active school mentor and donor, providing lectures about ancient coins at schools and colleges throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

I created, own and run the semi-annual San Francisco Historical Bourse (www.SFBourse.com). Established in 2006, this popular show specializes in ancient and world coins with most of the large U.S. firms represented . In addition to the business of the show, each bourse concludes with an educational evening lecture for patrons and dealers. I am committed to promoting community support and education of ancient numismatics. I developed and present numerous lectures yearly about ancient coin collecting to various organizations. I actively attend and continuously promote the hobby of ancient numismatics at six Northern California coin clubs. As previously mentioned, I am proud to be an active mentor in Northern California schools as part of ACE program.

Having started coin collecting as a hobby in the 1970’s, I have watched the changing coin market for the past thirty years. I understood the role that computers would have in relation to coins and I have primarily therefore used the internet to establish my firm and to promote numismatics education.  I am committed to sharing numismatic knowledge through commercial publications, online lists and articles. I publish a monthly online list of coins and antiquities for both of my internet stores. I am the editor for online articles related to coin collecting and am also the editor of a number of articles published in The Celator. I have been the editor for the monthly SFANS newsletter since 2002. My internet site hosts the largest online search database for Roman Imperial legends and I recently began an educational program using world satellite images of ancient historical sites.
